Overview
InfoBase is a server technology developed by ABC QuickSilver for the
encoding, transmission, management and presentation of live Streaming
and Refreshed data on WAP devices of varying sizes.

Device and Network Independent
InfoBase supports the WIDEST RANGE OF WAP enabled phones. The system
is NETWORK INDEPENENT and works across multiple wireless standards
including GSM, TDMA, CDMA, iDen, CDPD and UMTS.

While providing the fastest market updates, InfoBase is designed for
the most EFFICIENT UTILIZATION OF NETWORK RESOURCES to avoid over-burdening
the wireless networks.
Leading Edge Technologies
InfoBase is developed using an array of programming languages, chosen
for the purpose of achieving MAXIMUM SYSTEM PERFORMANCE. While the core
system is written in "C" language, content management and data
presentation are handled by XML/XSL. JAVA Servlet technology is
employed for developing specific applications.
Scalable and Flexible Architecture
Linux based, the software architecture supports up to 2,000 concurrent
WAP connections on a single server. It is extremely SCALABLE and FLEXIBLE,
allowing customers to easily re-configure the system features by means
of administrative tools.
End-User Personalization
A session control facility within InfoBase keeps track of the profile
of a particular end-user and therefore allows services with a high degree
of personalization to be offered. The Transformation Engine allows all
documents used for servicing WAP phones to be transformed into the most
suitable form for each device, based upon real-time evaluation of end-user
preferences and user agent capabilities, before transmission to the end-user.
